I have a dream, and that dream is I want to be a rich. How about you? Do you want to be rich?
I believe most of us have at least once, dreaming of becoming rich. With nice house, expensive car and once a while go on vacation with family. And on top of it, maybe retire early and spend more time with our family. That would’ve been very nice if it’s a real.
To think of it, I actually don’t think we wanted to be rich. Rich is only a term to describe we have enough money and never worry about money or losing or our 9 to 5 job.
We wanted to have financial security and financial freedom.
What is financial freedom?
I’m not a financial expert nor am I someone who understands better those subjects. I’m just someone who starting out the journey to saving and investing. But financial freedom is about having enough money to live without staying in the rat race, well you know. Waking up in the morning for work every day whether you like it or not.
The pattern of get up, goes to work, pay bills, get up, go to work, pay bills. Their lives are then run forever by two emotions, fear and greed. Offer them more money, and they continue the cycle by also increasing their spending. That is rat race. – Robert Kiyosaki (Rich dad Poor dad)
I started in 2015 to be exposed to personal finance and exposed to investing and money management. I was a student back in the day and doing some part time job. Those money comes and go just like that. Never thought of saving or putting it to work for me.
It all started when I read the book Money secret by by Andrew Chia. It’s a good read and I was exposed to personal finance and investing. Its open my eye to the future and the possibility of making my money works for me.
I also learnt about buying stocks especially in Malaysia. younginvestors.com.my is a good resource for beginners who just wanted to learn more before starting out.
Starting the Saving and Investing Journey
I sometimes tells my friends to start investing in stocks or any other investment vehicle but often they tell me, they don’t have enough money and even if they have just enough start, the return would be small and it takes time. Yes of course, it takes hard works and time. Nothing can comes easy.
So here I’m putting a saving plan for me to be able to start out. It might takes sometimes and some pain, but people say no pain no gain.
I’ll be sharing my journey in saving and investing and hopefully it will produce something in the future.
